Our Video Process

  • This period is a great way for us to "break-the-ice". During this time I am able to learn more about you. You will receive a client questionnaire which we will review via a Zoom meeting (or phone if Zoom is not an option for you). We will also use this time to discuss everything you will need to prepare for the interview session, as well as any fine details.

  • Ready? and ACTION! It's time to record your story. My approach to filmmaking is very relaxed and observational and conversational rather than traditional and over-posed. When you look back I want you to have the honest moments that you'll cherish the most. This will be the time to let the conversation really flow and provide all the detail you want to carry on for generations.

  • It's time for you to sit back and relax. You are about to receive the most personalized and cherished heirloom you will ever own. Each film is customized and each proponent is carefully selected to fit. ONE SIZE DOESN'T FIT all!

Video FAQs

  • Your film length will be determined by your package, as well as any add-ons you select.

  • While it would be ideal for you or a family member to record the memories, few have the equipment, skills and time needed to produce an quality Legacy or Heritage Video. A Legacy Video typically involves 50+ hours of editing.

  • Planning and pre-production are the most intensive parts of the process , but manageable. Your deposit covers up to 8 hours of pre-production conversations. After up to 8 hours of planning, you will be provided a short plan and agree to dates and events to film. Once the shooting ends, you will receive your completed project within 30 days. We do offer the option to expedite for an additional fee.

  • I generally recommend against it. I find people are easily distracted and more reserved when they know a family member is present or listening. Most times, it’s just the crew and the person being interviewed.

  • All pricing is laid out with the packages. Any additional fees from add-ons will vary based on your individual project.

  • You can get additional up to 5 additional copies at the cost to make them. It is better to disclose this need during the pre-production conversation to avoid delays. If you decide after pre-production that you need more, there will be a small service fee per additional drives.

  • If travel (especially overnight) outside of our travel radius is required, the client is responsible for all travel related costs. This will be organized during the pre-production process.

Our Montage Process

  • During this time you will submit your materials to us. We will discuss in our initial consultation what way works best for you. This will be followed by a detailed conversation to discuss the material and any special requests.

  • Now, you can sit back and relax. We will take over from here using top of the line software to create a quality montage of memories.

  • ARE YOU READY? Here comes your personalized thumb drive filled with your memories. We encourage you to enjoy and share the moment reminiscing with your loved ones.

Montage FAQs

  • A collection consisting  mostly of pictures and a few clips of film, combined with music in a unique combination and often out of sequence to tell your story.

  • Allowing us to create your montage will save you hours/days/weeks of your time of editing and assembling the montage. On average a montage consisting of  220 photos, takes approximately 5-11 hours to assemble. Not to mention the average person does not have the tools to create a professional montage.

We will take the time to make sure your montage has the personal touch while using the tools for a professional look.

  • On average this is 15-20 minutes. Any intentional extension may carry additional fees. We will discuss the runtime estimate during the pre-creation process.

  • Of course not, this is your story to tell.

We have found that video sometimes, adds depth to your story.

  • The great thing about a montage is that a timeline doesn’t determine the order of your montage. However, if you are concerned with the timeline we encourage you to bring this up during the Pre-Creation process. Once we begin putting your story together this could affect the deadline of the project.

  • If you would like captions as part of your montage this is discussed during the Pre-Creation process. Once we begin putting your story together this could affect the deadline of the project.
